I had textured a background by using Saran wrap over wet paint on this canvas board that I decide to use as an under painting for these birch trees. The texture was enhanced when I added the pastel finish.
A very nice surprise to see how well the Saran wrap texture mimiced the texture of bark.
This is one of three paintings that I did based on a view that I came upon while driving. It also resembles what I use to see outside my houses' front windows before a new home took their place.
Those neighbors are good neighbors and although I am very thankful they are good, I still miss that view. Especially when the morning sun cast its glorious light through the stand of birch trees during the fall season.
