Because this bird is painted in a minimalistic way, it can represent several kinds of birds.
I wanted to keep this bird delicate and light, even a bit fragile looking. This is done by using more water than paint and having the bird balanced on a thin, frail looking branch that appears it couldn't support the weight on a fly, but yet it supports this delicate bird with no problem.
