Artist's Description

First, I will say, yes, I intentionally used 'many' instead of 'mini'. I know it's not the most brilliant play on words, but, hey, better than using a boring title like, 'Bowl Of Peaches'.

A perfect painting for any country kitchen decor.

After placing this bowl of peaches on the window sill to further ripen the fruit, I saw the cool shapes and lines that was created by the mini blinds and photographed it with my film camera. It took me four years to get the courage to paint the intimidating image. Ocassionally, I would come across the photo and think about how to tackle it. One day, I decided it was time. I painted it in 4 hours. So, when someone asks me how long it took to paint this, I say, 4 years and 4 hours.

About Jani Freimann

Jani Freimann

Expressive Portraits Of Animals And People: Jani is an award winning water media/graphite artist who paints and draws people and animals in a loose, painterly style she calls impressionistic realism. "I love playing interesting colors against each other; creating movement and texture with all the different medias mixing the medias as needed to add another layer of character and depth. It fits my adventurous spirit." She intentionally leaves a little to the viewer's imagination so they can be a part of her emotive, story-telling artwork. Jani is accomplished in a variety of medias and offers her fine art skills for pet portrait commissions in graphite, charcoal, watercolor, acrylic and oil.
