We have herons a plenty here in the PNW. They frequent the low tide areas for easy fishing.I had one visit my little water feature not to long ago. That was the moment I realized that it was in no way deep enough to keep birds like these from stealing my fish. They have long legs and long beaks and stand three feet tall. When he saw me through the window, he posed like a statue and froze as if trying to fool me.
