A cold and foggy view of a Northwestern beach called Kopachuck State Park located in Gig Harbor, Washington.
A view looking North towards Raft Island which is the horizon line in the background. To the left of the fallen trees is Dead Man's Island. There always seems to be fallen or washed up trees on the shoreline of this beach. The landscape constantly changes. Pacific Northwest beaches are truly living beaches. Besides the fallen tree sculptures that appear and disappear suddenly, there sometimes are myriads of sand dollars that can only be seen when the tide is low. Live sand dollars are covered in black "hairs", cilia, on the underside that move when you run your fingers across them.
My family frequented this beach when my children were young. I heard that the campsite was closed to the public due to budget cuts, but you can still visit the beach.
Expressive Portraits Of Animals And People: Jani is an award winning water media/graphite artist who paints and draws people and animals in a loose, painterly style she calls impressionistic realism. "I love playing interesting colors against each other; creating movement and texture with all the different medias mixing the medias as needed to add another layer of character and depth. It fits my adventurous spirit." She intentionally leaves a little to the viewer's imagination so they can be a part of her emotive, story-telling artwork. Jani is accomplished in a variety of medias and offers her fine art skills for pet portrait commissions in graphite, charcoal, watercolor, acrylic and oil. More Here. COMMISSIONS/LICENSING: E-MAIL...
